Feeling the Conscious Presence of the One God
The presence of God is here…
Religion is a very personal belief system and most people in the world believe in God and some sort of “religion”. But also, a lot of people are afraid to talk about God to others or in public environments for fear of persecution, either physically or verbally.
In the Bible, it’s stated that even though you make your bed in hell, God is there. But to experience God, we must be consciously aware of His presence regardless of where we are or who we’re with.
Christians are being persecuted and tortured by enemies of Christianity much like Jews were persecuted and tortured by enemies of Judaism in years past (and going waaay past). Unfortunately, the Jews continue to be persecuted today, also.
But God still prevails. A lot of religions teach that there’s only one God, but yet fear the beliefs of others who have “another” God. Why is this?
And, if God is LOVE, as believed by Christians, then they need to consciously feel that truthful statement, [I John 4:18] “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” Feel this to be true in your heart and mind and soul.
It’s almost impossible to think about God when we’re watching football or listening to a rock concert or concerned about our business or relationships.
It’s virtually impossible to think about God when we’re thinking about fear in the news… fear of those unlike ourselves… fear of those who call their god, “Allah”. When we hear the name of Allah being called or worshiped, do we feel hatred or fear for those people? Do we fear Allah as though Allah is another God unlike the God we know?
If so, then we are creating two Gods. God by any other name is still God, the Father of us all, the Creator of the universe and everything and everyone in this universe. We must remember NOT to split God into two deities, else we could “die by the sword”.
Although it may be difficult to talk about God in public, we can keep Him close in our heart and mind and consciousness.
God is closer than breathing….THAT close! Feel it. Nurture it. Experience it. Pass it on through the loving character you possess. Pass it on through expressions of joy and compassion. God by any other name is one and the same. It is those who believe otherwise that cause trouble in the world. (Believing something does not make it factual. Remember this.)
